Yasodara is a highly qualified, valued team member at Rice Craig, she works closely with Patrick O’Halloran with commercial and residential conveyancing matters, subdivisions, commercial lease matters, wills and estate administration. Yasodara prides herself on her steadfast commitment to her clients and is passionate about providing an exceptional service across a spectrum of legal services.

Under the scope of conveyancing, Yasodara exceeds expectations across all aspects of the transaction, helping homeowners and property developers with the sale and purchase of residential properties. She advises on property agreements, titles, LIM and building reports so clients are able to proceed with the property purchase in confidence. In addition, Yasodara applies her know-how to commercial conveyancing, advising on leases, rates, landlord information and any potential property issues.

Her expertise extends to personal requirements, helping clients along the life cycle with trusts, estates and wills. Yasodara understands that clients will have different needs with their wills, and common questions might be about their Kiwi saver, inheritance properties and especially with their children – how they can protect their properties and their assets from the partners of their children.

It is her client-oriented approach along with her second-to-none work ethic which has contributed to her reputation, particularly amongst the South Auckland Sri Lankan and Indian community. Yasodara explains legal jargon in a way that is understood, enabling a clear pathway forward, and clients can be assured that she will work diligently and tirelessly to help them achieve their desired outcome. 

Background

Yasodara achieved her LLB in 2016 and in 2019 her LLM (First class honours) at Waikato University. She began working in Auckland and joined Rice Craig in 2024. Yasodara thoroughly enjoys the camaraderie and collaborative spirit of her work colleagues.

Outside interests

Yasodara lives locally with her family and outside of work she loves spending time with her young family and friends. In her spare time she enjoys baking, exploring places and loves to read books with her young daughter. She loves the outdoors and can often be found enjoying the many local reserves and parks with her family.
