Verity’s primary practice is property conveyancing where her expertise is anchored in her ability to translate complexity to clarity with warmth and timeliness. Whether it’s guiding a first home buyer through the biggest financial decision of their life or navigating entry into a retirement village – Verity will bring a practical, methodical approach to all client matters.

Verity is deeply committed to her clients and will provide pragmatic advice every step of the journey from due diligence around LIM reports, KiwiSaver withdrawals through to finance conditions and contracts. She can be trusted to apply a natural handbrake so people can feel confident and equipped to make informed decisions.

Verity is actively developing her practice in wills, estates, and estate planning, working closely alongside Antoinette Searle. Verity understands this can be an overwhelming time for clients, her approach is to be that steady presence, calm and knowledgeable so the weight of the legal process doesn’t add to what they’re already carrying.

Background

Verity began her career in 2010 working as a legal assistant across property, wills, trusts, and estates for several South Auckland firms. Over the following decade she developed a comprehensive understanding of how the law works in practice — the processes, the paperwork, the people. Realising her true calling, Verity began studying law in 2019 at University of Waikato, graduating in 2025.

Verity is a valued member of the Rice Craig team and is proud of the collaborative culture and depth of expertise shared across all areas of the firm.

Outside Interests

When she is not at her desk, Verity can be found on the sidelines of her son’s weekend football matches, coffee in hand, cheering him on through all seasons of weather.
