Areas of expertise:

  • Employment law
  • Civil litigation

Senior Associate, LL.B (1st class hons) and B.Soc.Sc

I started with Rice Craig in 2009. It’s a privilege to get to work with our clients and to get to know them and their businesses. I enjoy helping them to achieve practical resolutions to disputes and employment issues. I’d say my strengths are providing clear, considered advice, finding pragmatic solutions and remaining calm and focused in pressured situations.

I specialise in employment law and civil litigation. I also have an interest in related areas including:

- Education law. I have represented schools, early childhood centres and teachers

- Privacy Act/Official Information Act issues

- Responding to investigations by professional bodies or complaints made to them (eg. Teaching Council, Social Workers' Registration Board, Psychologist's Board and trade boards)

- Workplace investigations.

Outside work I enjoy camping and travel with my husband and three children and working on our lifestyle block. I like to be involved in my local community and was on the Board of Trustees of a rural primary school for six years. In 2019 I was elected to the Board of Pukekohe High School.
