Wiltshire Stone Lawyers join Rice Craig

Lance-Wiltshire-profile.jpgRice Craig is expanding.

We are delighted to announce the arrival of Lance Wiltshire and his four support staff, Catherine Te-Wharau, Sharon Lynch, Adele Schick and Tiana Hunia at Rice Craig from September 2018.  Lance is joining us as a Senior Consultant, and Catherine, Sharon, Adele and Tiana will continue to work with Lance in the way that they always have.

Lance and his team have previously been practising under the banner of Wiltshire Stone, with offices both in Manukau and Pakuranga.  Lance has a wide client base, with clients from all over the South Auckland area, and we look forward to seeing them at Rice Craig in the future.  For any of them who might find it difficult to venture out to Papakura to see us, Lance will be offering to continue to see them at Te Tuhi (the old Fisher Gallery in Reeves Road behind the Pakuranga Plaza).  Just telephone, and he can arrange an appointment with you.

Lance was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in 1981 and for 24 years was a partner in the legal firm Wood Ruck in Manukau, and thereafter Beattie Rickman Legal.  He practices in the fields of Property and Commercial Law, Trusts, Succession Planning, Wills and Estates, and is ably assisted by Catherine, Sharon, Adele and Tiana.  If you are already a client of Lance's, you will know his support staff well, as most of them have been with him for a long time.

By joining a larger firm, Lance and his clients will have access to other practitioners practising in fields which Lance doesn't specialise in himself.  For example he will now be able to offer his clients in-house advise in Family Law, Employment Law and Civil Litigation should the need arise.  For Lance personally, he will have the benefit of a range of support facilities that are not possible in a smaller firm.  And we think he and his team will enjoy the collegiality of working alongside over 10 other practitioners and 30 support staff.

Some of you who have not previously met Lance in his capacity as a solicitor, may have encountered him through a sports connection.  Lance has always held a keen interest in sport, having played and coached both cricket and hockey, and having been involved in the administration of various clubs.  We think he is going to be pretty busy in the upcoming months, and we're not sure if he's going to have any time for leisure.  However, he tells us that on some weekends he still intends to get down to the Bay of Plenty to visit the kiwifruit and avocado orchard he has an interest in.  Somehow we think it's going to get pretty neglected!
