John Sieprath

John gained his law degree from Auckland University and was admitted to the bar in 1979. He later completed a further course of study at Auckland University obtaining a Master of Commercial Laws (Hons). He practised law in Dannevirke and Pukekohe before joining Rice Craig in 1987.

John has had significant community involvement having been an active member of local rugby, athletic and swimming clubs. John still retains his involvement being honorary solicitor to several local sporting clubs including the Onewhero and Tuakau Rugby Clubs, the Papakura Athletic Club and the Papakura Swimming Club as well as the Tuakau Cosmopolitan Club. John is also a trustee of the Manukau Counties Community Facilities Charitable Trust.

John has also had considerable involvement in the New Zealand water polo scene with all three of his children representing New Zealand. John is a past President of New Zealand Water Polo Association.

John has also been an active member of the Rotary Club of Papakura between 1987 and 2006.

John has extensive experience in commercial, domestic and rural conveyancing and also in trusts and estates. He has a wide client following in the Auckland and South Auckland communities. John is a personable and an effective communicator. He offers sound advice backed by over 25 years legal experience.
